Yep. I just left.
As far as coffee shops go, the menu options and prices are pretty standard. The service and the quality of the coffee, however, are both exceptional.
Service dogs are welcomed, but pets are outside
A blending of two idea/words between percolator and drip coffee.
My daughter and I stopped in while visiting Black Mountain last weekend. Great atmosphere with a menu loaded with homemade items. I had a wonderful cinamon bun and my daughter ordered a very good gluten free muffin/pastry. Coffee was very nice as well. Try this place if you are passing through!!
I have heard good things about this coffee shop and naturally I had to try it for myself on my way to Asheville! Its Bright white walls and cozy furniture gives it that “big metropolis” vibe! I felt I was back in Brooklyn and really loved the decor as well as their delicious coffee! I got a great cup of their Americano and it was just so delicious! They also have a great selection of pastries to go along with their cold a hot beverages selection. The stuff here was so friendly and pleasantly engaging and kind, a rarity these days. Please make sure to stop by and experience this true gem for yourself as well as the charming small town of Black Mountains an absolute win win!Enjoy !
Great little local coffee lounge to slow down and enjoy or get your java to go! Well laid out to sit at a table of comfy seating. Staff is very friendly and the coffee tastes great! They are located in the cute little downtown area of Black Mountain. Must see and drink!
The dripolator has the best drinks hands down, I've been coming here since I moved to black mountain a little while ago and the barista there today made me an amazing hot baristas choice and was super friendly. 10/10 recommend whether your a local or just visiting.
Great quality, genuinely good service. I'll stop by there whenever I am in town.
Coffee was good. Latte took forever. The barrista was on her phone while making drinks so I'm guessing that is why.
New look! Cool spot to hang and check out the area.
Cozy little coffee shop with many selections. All of the pastries are delicious. I love having the option of a "real cup"!!!! The baristas are great about making recommendations. I have never been disappointed with anything here.
Wonderful little coffee shop...fast service..amazing coffee!
Definite five star! Friendly staff, diverse (but not overwhelmingly so) range of options, and high-quality drinks. Take time to enjoy your coffee in the inviting interior or enjoy a cool mountain morning on one of the outside benches or rocking chairs. Will certainly stop again when visiting Black Mountain or simply passing through.
My wife and I stopped in and had a wonderful cup of coffee! Excellent service and the wait wasn't too long. Great atmosphere and a nice vibe.
Great coffee and atmosphere. They have a wide variety of drinks and a large selection of local baked goods. There's always a unique special available and they never disappoint. They are also very environmentaly conscious! A great local spot.
PLEASE OPEN A LOCATION IN NORTH ASHEVILLE!!! 🙏🏾💝 Popped in the other day after visiting the used bookstore down the street. My eyes were bigger than my stomach and they had pumpkin bread so I couldn’t say no 😄 what actually drew me in was the horchata latte they advertised on the sign in front of the shop 😍 the barista was really nice and warned me it was the last of the horchata so all the spices had sunk to the bottom and would end up in my drink lol. No problem, it was good! I was surprised it was cold, but it was a nice surprise. I definitely will see if I can get it hot next time though. Plenty of seating inside, kinda community style with a couch, long bar and long table, plus some chairs around the couch area. Only one table outside so I was bummed I couldn’t sit there and even the bench in front of the shop was taken. I can see why it’s popular though, everything is so good!
Best coffee and delicious cookie bar with choc chips, coconut on gram cracker crust.
Great coffee! I love the fact that it is small and owned by locals. The owner is wonderful and kind, which makes spending my money there all the better.
The coffee is amazing and they have a few GF pastry options, as well. I have Celiac and it's always fantastic to find GF - friendly places! The staff was helpful and uber knowledge about allergy information and the menu. I highly recommend this place. As of today they are cash only bc of Phase 2 of COVID-19 reopening.
This cafe is outstanding. The coffee is fantastic and the service is nothing less. It has been owned and run by the same owner for 20 years! Amy leads a well trained staff and has built a business that has become the heart of this small town. Its charm and appeal is no accident.
I had the "butter coffee" which was a nice hipster kinda find. 😁 Delicious! They also have a wicked pumpkin chocolate chip gluten free vegan muffin. I got one two days in a row! 😲
If you like hiking and great drinks, this is your spot. Great place for a smoothie, coffee, or latte. I'd pair this place with hiking in Montreat. We hiked Lookout Mountain then stopped in for a smoothie, which was just perfect.
Always enjoy a good roast. The location and coffee was great. The ambience is very inviting.
I stop here on my way through when travelling. Really cozy atmosphere, great coffee and attentive staff. This last time, I was excited to see fair trade chocolate, as well. They always have a few interesting local things for sale, too, and I found a few gifts for people. This is a great coffee shop. If you're travelling and it appears the only stops are starbucks and gas station coffee, do yourself a favor and take the extra mile and little reprieve to spend the same money on something done well that is also locally owned.
Such a great little coffee shop! They support local businesses and are advocates of Reduce, Reuse, Recycle. How can you not love this place? I mean our drinks were pretty delicious too 😊
Amazing coffee! The staff is friendly and give great recommendations. The Cubana was a delicious drink and the cold brew was so smooth! It’s a must try!
I've been to The Dripolator during every trip to Black Mountain and it's consistently great coffee and desserts. This was the Cubano and it's my favorite drink their so far. I took a pic of the Carrot cake which was delicious, but I will eat their Coconut Tart anytime it's available!
The guy working the front desk at our hotel said this was the best coffee shop in town. So far it’s the only one we’ve been to and I feel certain he was right. We loved everything about this place, from the decor and atmosphere to the unique beverage options. We got a killer bee and a golden latte. Both were delightful. We’re planning to come back every day we’re here to try all the things.Update: We’ve been here twice a day every day since Tuesday and we’re going to miss this place when we head home tomorrow. We’ve been to coffee shops all over and this is our new favorite.
Not the best customer service in the region. 15 minutes to get a hot chocolate. No line and two people working behind the counter. Interior decor is rustic and semi quaint. Seems like a locals hangout. Very close to shops and regular restaurants. Parking is not easy to procure 🙁.
No dining area ☹️. Coffee was excellent as always
My husband and I stopped into the Dripolator while we were visiting Black Mountain for the weekend. We really enjoyed it! I ordered the oat milk salted caramel latte and was very impressed. It's so nice that they offer milk alternatives! The atmosphere is cute and simple. It's small but lively. I recommend it!
I've never liked any of their baked goods but their coffee is my favorite! Cool vibe but can get kind of packed sometimes.
Freshly ground coffee, bake goods made daily. Down side heavy traffic, upside great people watching spot. There can be a wait on the weekends. There is small outside seating for us and are furry friends.
First time in this sweet coffee shop. Will be back! Good vibes & tasty coffee! :)
Love the coffee here.. Although, during Covid - they moved to ca$h only and Times have changed [closes at 6pm weeknights] Be prepared.**Edited; when I called to inform their Google maps was inaccurate. the girl Hung up on me, lol. Sadly finding this is becoming commonplace for "local businesses" customer service. I resorted for Starbucks just down the road, friendly staff and Open til 9!!
The Dripolator is a Black Mountain staple. It has been recently freshened up on the inside giving it a very light and airy feel. The building is historic and located just down the street from the original town hall that now houses an arts center and history museum. If you are in Black Mountain as a visitor it is a great place to pop a squat...enjoy a coffee treat and people watch. You won't be disappointed. Side note: Management encourages customers to bring their own mugs to cut down on waste.
Cute coffee shop that makes great cold brew! Loved the atmosphere!
One of the best coffeehouses in WNC! We always go out of our way to make a stop whenever we are in Black Mountain. Fantastic selection of coffees, teas, and specialty drinks, dairy alternatives are also readily available for most of not all drinks! Lots of baked goods and snacks, some gluten free options as well! Service is always great! Can't go wrong!
Dripolator is a must stop if you are traveling through the area. Such a quaint place boasting of real chocolate shavings in their mochas. Oh yum! And for those with dietary restrictions, there's options for you! I love the gluten free, egg free muffins.
Coffee is excellent. They have plant based milk. You're welcome to bring your reusable cup. :)
Spent 46$ dollars on coffee and cake for the family. Asked for a refill and they said it was 1$. Then they took 50 cents and gave me only half of cup. I have never seen any store that pinches their pennies that much. I asked for milk in my half cup and they said that it is money. It is quite obvious now that it is a tourist trap. I’d recommend a gas station more than this.
Cool hip coffee joint in downtown Black Mountain. Easy to get to and had convenient parking. I got the Salted Caramel Latte and a monster cookie. The latte wasn't quite sweet enough for my tastes but I would definitely check out this coffee shop again.
The place was busy! But the staff was polite and gracious in spite of how hard they worked. The food was great and they had a good variety of coffees for the size they were.
A lot of good options of tea, coffee, smoothies and really good pastries
This place has DELICIOUS coffee and smoothies! They do not skimp on the foam in their cappuccinos, they also have lots of tasty chocolate bars and sweets for sale.
We came here three times during our stay and it was perfect every time. I appreciate their dedication to the environment and people's health by offering discounts for using their mugs, only offering raw sugar or stevia, (no pink, blue or yellow in sight), and heating my blueberry crumb cake deliciousness in an oven rather than a microwave. Their frappes are incredible (had those twice when it was warm earlier in the week). Service was friendly and as fast as possible. (Which wasn't fast but considering how they do things it's ok). We will come back again.
Love this small local coffee shop. Get the iced killer bee or the Carmalatto
I really enjoy going to the Dripolator Coffeehouse when I am in Black Mountain. The selection of coffee beverages and baked goods is great, as are the staff and the relaxing environment in the store. Nice to have a hometown coffeeshop!😀
Great service. Retreat not leaving a bigger tip. I asked if I could sweep up a small mess I made and they were so nice about refusing saying they got it. Also some cuties that work there.
What a busy place! The neighborhood hub. A cozy place to meet up for a chat. Good coffee, good baked goods.
Always great coffee and cheerful service. One of my favorite places
Good product and prices. We'll return!
Small nice spot to grab a drink and dessert. Used this place to meet and study with others and the music wasn't too loud and respectable prices on items too.
